about

"WVM’s debut release may only be five tracks long, but each one is a perfect example of how to successfully combine different sounds to create something unique and refreshing. The EP features credits to heavy hitters Vrenna and Freese, both big players in the industrial scene, as well as a mixing credit to the legendary Sean Bevean (NINE INCH NAILS, MARILYN MANSON, NO DOUBT). These big names speak volumes of the kind of artist WVM is. He’s reinventing electro-rock in his own new way and attracting a lot of attention, all of which is much deserved. If his EP is anything to go by, the upcoming album should be remarkable." - Sludge Factor AU (Apr 04, 2013)

"Sometimes a record is as much an indulgence as a glass of LBV port wine, intoxicating every cell of your body as the notes filter in through the ear canal. In short, once the music’s playing it’s left on repeat for hours and hours and hours.Out of Los Angeles, WVM’s dark electronic tunes careen tight around the guardrails of industrial and goth rock with a sprinkling of EDM thrown in for good measure. for a virtual unknown unattached to the great machine that is a major label, WVM is a stunning and welcome listen" - Sal Christ, 303 Magazine (Oct 16, 2012)

"Fusing Electronic-Goth style sounds with rocking beats, electronic noises and a solid vocal style, WVM has created some music that at the core feels unique and is quite good for fans of electronic/industrial rock. The track “The Echoing” has a brooding, electro-goth sound starting off melancholy that builds and erupts into some heavy rocking. The vocals and overall style of the track sound eerily like a fusion of Sisters Of Mercy with David Byrne. “For a Better Tomorrow” carries on in a similar fashion, rocking out with heavy drums, synthesizers and brooding vocals. The track “Black Sun” shifts things around a bit, dropping a lot of the melancholy and going for a more straight electronic-rock sound. It keeps things fast paced and solid for pretty much it’s entire duration, mixing killer drums with synthesizer and electronic noise. “Escapism” is probably the heaviest of the tracks, but I won’t ruin everything for you." - Zombie Goats, Head Full of Noise (Mar 27, 2013)

"Even with huge, iconic names attached to the EP, WVM’s attention to production is what makes The End Is Only The Beginning so great. Every musical ingredient is carefully polished and perfected, creating some delectable, dance-floor ready tracks. WVM is a force to watch out for, and I strongly encourage you to give The End Is Only The Beginning a listen. This is for, but not limited to, fans of Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle, Gary Numan, Ultravox, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, or The Human League." - Lauren L, Plugged In Promotions (Mar 24, 2013)

"The initial “The Echoing" is the song most purely electronic and dark ep and seems to find himself in front of the Deadsy more morbid or Marilyn Manson more sad and less flashy: the latter may influence out in the open thanks to ’ working behind the console producer Sean Beavan, work on their own with Marilyn Manson “Antichrist Superstar" and “Mechanical Animals". The remaining tracks instead play more with the component rock, combining perfectly the guitars and the drum sound (both synthetic and “real") with the beats and samples of nature precisely mail. “Black Sun" and “For A Better Tomorrow" could be the individual from fear and truly remarkable is the evidence behind the microphone to David and melodically abrasive and author of excellent vocal lines. Really great discovery, and considering this as a debut ep itself, we can expect great things from the imminent full length! (Self-produced - 2012)" - David Perletti, Noize Italia (Mar 28, 2013)

"this lands somewhere in the strange and mysterious land where both electroheads and metalheads are able to appreciate it, the way Rammstein was able to bring the two frontlines together to shake hands and sing songs together a few years back. I’m going to cut the crap guys, no wannabe poetic words, I’ll give it to you straight up. This is truly the shit and ‘The End Is Only The Beginning’ is absolutely the most surprising release for me of 2012. " - Brutal Resonance (Nov 12, 2012)

"This is one for the electro-heads. This is one for the metal-heads. This is one for those who are still stuck in a romantical entanglement with the best of 80s electro-pop. What can we say, WVM is a little hard to classify but this four track teaser of an EP will leave you itching for a full-length album." - Louiza Kouzapas, Soundsphere (Nov 28, 2012)

"There are certain people contributing to this EP and album that caught my eye and those are Chris Vrenna (NIN, M. Manson) and Josh Freese (NIN, DEVO, Perfect Circle), me being a NIN and M. Manson fan before he went Holy Wood, it was an instant peak of interest. Freese drums and WVM vocals goes great together, at first I didn’t think the voice of WVM would be ok with the semi electronic sound but no doubts now. The EP has that awesome static electronic punch I haven’t enjoyed in a while, a crystal clear indication that this guy knows what he’s doing and I’m not worried at all about the outcome of the album." - When Giants Meet (Nov 13, 2012)

"WVM is one of the few electronic artists who truly interests me. His music somehow has all of the evil of black metal yet also the mainstream appeal of hip hop. It is hard to fully describe the dominating sounds he creates." - Matt Baggins, Two Guys Metal Reviews (Sep 15, 2012)

Track Name: When Universes Collide (ft. Josh Freese)
On a bullet we ride through the cracks in our eyes
Killing it all away
Between the divide
The horses run deep
The walls begin to shake
I am dreaming I'm awake
And see you there before
Nothing can hide the reasons why
When universes collide
In this space so empty and cold
Their words ring so hollow
As the world falls
I'll be there with you
Somewhere they can't follow
I want to tell you something they will never know
We will run into the center of the storm
Everything is so clear in this open space
The end is the beginning turning in it's place
I am dreaming I'm awake
And see you there before
Nothing can hide the reasons why
When universes collide
In this space so empty and cold
Their words ring so hollow
As the world falls
I'll be there with you
Somewhere they can't follow
Track Name: The Echoing
The Echoing
Words and music by WVM

No words can state the weight of their mistake
My thoughts will run and start to weigh them down until the end.. just like before
The sound of waves are crashing down and leaves us wanting more… for you and I
The echoing of the beating heart will crash down every wall
Remember the day their shadows will fall
Remember the night and the sounds we recall
Remember the times the whole world stood still like ice on the wall from our windowsill
Our words cut like glass through all that remains
I’ll find a way
Another way to let go of every trace, they will try again to weigh us down but we won’t let them in…. try as they may.
The fires burning in our beating hearts will forever light the way - until the e.n.d.
From my heart I stab at the darkest night for I see the moon within
Remember the day their shadows will fall
Remember the night and the sounds we recall
Remember the times the whole world stood still like ice on the wall from our windowsill
Our words cut like glass through all that remains
I’ll find a way
Track Name: Black Sun (ft. Chris Vrenna)
They fill the air with shattered words expecting us to join them
Behind the thin blue veil
2 vines tangled in the dark where do I start and you begin
We won’t let them in
If we try and run
They will stop for no one
Shadows on the Black Sun
Like a poet to a gun
They’ll be gone
Begin without ending
No one pretending
Controlling everyone
There’s no reason why we don’t just let go
We can find another way from the undertow
I want to take you so far away
They all fall into the fray
And swirl around like an ocean
Into the evermore
March in line, night and day
Like mechanized videotape
With their lenses torn
If we try and run
They will stop for no one
Shadows on the Black Sun
Like a poet to a gun
They’ll be gone
Begin without ending
No one pretending
Controlling everyone
There’s no reason why
We don’t just let go
We can find another way from the undertow
I want to take you so far away
Here it comes see them run when they see the black sun coming down from inside you and I
Track Name: For a Better Tomorrow (ft. Josh Freese)
From my heart I stab at the darkness and watch all the sparks
Like a photograph
They want you to see the circuits and wire all you require is on the screen
Don’t turn away or you’ll find yourself knocked back where you belong
Don’t turn away or you’ll find yourself knocked back where you belong
How could you know with the digital control
Broadcast your soul
Fading to black
With the eyes behind your back
Nothing to say
Another day
For a Better Tomorrow
How could you know
You hold on
To just who you think you are
And watch it all go
You hold on
To just who you think you are
And watch it all go
Track Name: Escapism (ft. Josh Freese)
Another way to discover
An exit is just an entrance to another
Record to needle
I’m undercover
The Light that burns will blind you like no other
Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah
Start the engine letting go of all traces
Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah
Start the engine letting go of all traces
See the crack in the sky it’s to justify
The fire blinds all love
Speed of pain in your frame it's to nullify
The fire blinds all love
See them all on their knees
It’s you and I against them
Our thoughts tighten like a fist
Deleting all in our midst
Shiny television eyes
Keeps them all guessing
Another form of control
Digital black soulless hole
See the crack in the sky it’s to justify
The fire blinds all love
Speed of pain in your frame it's to nullify
The fire blinds all love
This is just a manifestation of my consciousness,
Revolving in the universe of my mind,
There is nothing there but what I choose to see,
One day soon you will find
LIKE NOW.
